The federal stimulus money is going to hit Chicago Public Schools soon, and it’s going to be a whopping $1.8 billion. That’s an increase of $4,641 per student!
This Thursday, April 29, the Black Community Collaborative will be hosting a virtual town hall to gather input directly from families and community members, and ensure their concerns are heard collectively by the school district and City Hall.
The event is co-sponsored by Roses in Roseland, The Roots Initiative, Teach for the Future, Citizens for Civic Education, The Black Star Project and the Alumni Alliance of South Shore High School.
