This week, Chicago Unheard will host two parent conversations about the proposals to change how the Board of Education is selected. The Illinois State Senate is examining two bills: one would create a 21-member, fully-elected school board; the other would have 11 members, eight appointed by the mayor and three elected.
Today, our friends from Kids First Chicago will hold a Spanish-language discussion at 4 p.m. To see the Facebook Live and add your comments and questions, check it out here: https://www.facebook.com/chicagounheard/posts/2832524026987624
Tomorrow night at 5 p.m. a group of parents led by the Hispanic Community Collaborative will hold an English-language discussion. Watch the Chicago Unheard Facebook page for updates.
